Our Mission
To recreate an experience of friendship, creativity and retro-good health
A room full of like-minded friends, all looking for the very best, freshest, cleanest food, gives creative chefs the perfect opportunity to deliver a meal worth gathering for.
Why?
Life is too short and we need more time with friends.
Knowing the farm that your food comes from
The small to medium local farm and farmer.
The freshness of seasonal foods being offered where they are raised.
Why?
When we are thoughtful about our food, we value it more. Drive or walk to a farmer’s market or a farm and try to tell us that you won’t appreciate the food that you make that night. Now stop to think about how long ago those greens or vegetables were alive in the ground or on the vine. Or how recently that cut of meat grazed on the local grass. These foods don’t have time to be industrialized. They aren’t packed and stored and shipped and treated in order to be part of a modern system of convenience. They aren’t shapes on a shelf. They are gifts of the earth and the daily craft and commitment of a farmer, who is our neighbor.
No seed oils
Canola Oil (also called Rapeseed), Corn Oil, Cottonseed Oil, Rice Bran Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Safflower Oil, Sunflower Oil. The names may look like plants, but the truth is that they have been processed into bad chemistry through processing. Any processed oil is a NO-NO.
If it isn’t Olive Oil or a High Quality Avocado Oil or a High Quality Coconut Oil, or a pure unprocessed animal fat like tallow, butter or ghee, we recommend against it.
Why?
They are industrially-processed, creating unstable and unhealthy compounds that cause metabolic dysfunction & higher potential for disease. (Your cells can’t process them nor remove them). Polyunsaturated fats. High omega-6. Inflammitory. Easily Oxidized.

No glyphosate
RoundUp. It could be coating the lettuce in your salad, the wheat of your bread, cake or cereal. It is most likely in your oats, in your milk, or the berries in your smoothie.
Why?
It is so bad for the environment, bees, butterflies & water sources. It is a carcinogen for the consumer… a cause for non-Hodgkin lymphoma, kidney & liver tissue damage. It is an endocrine disruptor, and a cause for neurological damage. It is a proven hormone disruptor and a destroyer of gut health. Any flour, grain or produce that has come into contact with RoundUp has glyphosate in it - a powerful herbicide that completely kills almost all plants and insects that it touches. It is so fatal that special Genetically-Modified crops have had to be developed. The seeds for those GMO plants have almost taken over the American planting industry, in order to produce a crop within the toxic soup of glyphosate.
No plastic cutting boards
Cutting on stainless steel (especially for meats) and keeping all cutting boards clean with natural cleaners helps to keep toxic chemicals and plastics out of our systems.
Why?
The shards and slivers of tiny plastic all pile up! (Inside you). Microplastics clog the arteries and contribute to both heart disease as well as Alzheimer’s & dimentia.
Reduction of cleaning chemicals
Most commercial dishwashing systems use chemicals to clean the cutlery and dishes you eat from. It is cheaper and saves labor for the employer, plus the “Health Department” requires it… that stated, it is better to use organic vinegar and hot water sterilization as a healthy alternative.
Why?
The spoon you lick shouldn’t have a residue of germ-killing chemicals. The plate that holds your steak should be truly clean - not disinfected with a highly toxic rinse.
No Highly Processed Foods
Seed oils, high fructose corn syrup, snacks with unnatural additives & preservatives, flavorings (often ironically allowed to be labeled as “natural flavors”), processed sugar and packaged food.
Why?
The consumption of highly processed foods contributes to a highly inflammatory state which is the root cause of most disease.
Enjoying anti-inflammatory diets
Inflammation isn’t always a bad thing. When you cut your finger, for example, your immune system rallies by sending out inflammatory cells to the injured area to start the healing process. Redness and swelling protects the injury while being healed and the body is in a heightened, endangered state.
The real problem occurs when the immune system keeps sending inflammatory cells throughout the body, even when there are no outside threats. For example, people who have arthritis experience chronic (or long-term) inflammation in the joint tissues, which, over time, can damage the joints.
Chronic inflammation can play a role in causing or worsening diseases like heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and depression, among others.
What causes all this long-term inflammation? It can be diseases, pollution, and lifestyle habits. But sometimes foods can too. Processed foods, foods high in sugar, foods that contain trans-fats.
Why?
When we allow our bodies to recover and heal, we can enjoy a life with less pain or soreness. We can rebound with new-found energy. We can experience food that nourishes.
